Platforms treat adult promotion in very different ways. X and Bluesky allow consensual adult content when it is labelled. Instagram and Threads, which follow Meta’s rules, do not allow offering sexual services. Telegram has a lighter public rulebook. For TikTok, Reddit and OnlyFans we could not verify the current policy text, so we say so below.
Our escort social media marketing service explains how we plan a presence. This guide goes into the platform rules themselves, especially links, which cause more removals than photos do. You can book a private consultation if you want us to review your accounts. Reviewed 16 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice, and policies change, so read the current text before you post.
Which platforms are worth considering, and how do they compare?
The table below summarises the position of each platform as far as we could verify it from official pages in October 2026. Where we could not read the current policy, the cell says so. It is a picture of each platform’s stance, not a guarantee for your account.
| Platform | Adult content | Offering services | Links | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| X | Allowed if consensual and labelled; not in profile photo, header or live video | Check the current policy | Check the current policy | Unlabelled media and reports |
| Meta’s standards restrict sexual content | Offering or seeking commercial sexual encounters, including escort services, is not allowed | Check the current policy | Removed posts and closed accounts | |
| Threads | Uses Meta’s rules; check the current policy | Treat as not allowed, as on Instagram | Check the current policy | Same as Instagram |
| TikTok | Check the current policy | Check the current policy | Check the current policy | Account bans; strict reputation |
| Depends on each community and on the platform | Check the current policy | Check the current policy | Bans for posts that read as ads | |
| Telegram | Illegal pornography is barred on public channels and bots | Illegal activity is barred | Spam and scams are barred | Reports and public handles |
| Bluesky | Allowed if consensual, labelled and age-restricted | Check the current policy | Commercial content must be identified; spam is barred | Young platform, rules evolve |
| OnlyFans | Allowed on the platform itself | Check the current policy | Check the current policy | Host platform’s rules apply on promotion |
Choose one or two platforms that suit your comfort level, not all eight. A platform you can keep up with beats three you abandon.
What do X and Bluesky allow?
Both allow consensual adult content, with conditions. That makes them the most workable for an openly adult presence, but conditions matter.
X. According to its Adult Content policy, you may share consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behaviour if it is labelled and not displayed prominently. Adult content cannot appear in highly visible areas such as profile photos, headers, List banners or Community covers, or in live video. Repeat breaches can lead to read-only mode or suspension. Keep your profile area clean, mark your media as sensitive and review what accompanies each post. X’s separate rules on solicitation and on links also apply, and we could not read those sections in full, so check the current policy.
Bluesky. Its guidelines allow consensual adult sexual content when it is appropriately labelled and subject to age restrictions. Content showing activity without consent is not allowed, even if it is fictional or generated. The guidelines prohibit spam and artificially inflating engagement, and ask that commercial content is identified as such. They do not address adult commercial sex directly, so check the current policy and avoid wording that reads as an offer of services.
For both, label correctly every time. A label is a small habit that protects the account.
What do Instagram and Threads allow?
Instagram and Threads are for a brand presence, not for offering services. Meta’s Adult Sexual Solicitation standard bars content that offers or seeks commercial sexual encounters, which includes escort services. Threads follows Meta’s rules, and the Threads app points to Instagram’s guidelines. Check the current policy for details on each.
In practice this means:
- A clean bio with a name, a tone and a city or region, but no services, prices or contact details that read as an offer.
- Lifestyle content: travel, books, food, fashion, a recognisable aesthetic.
- No explicit wording, and no wording that points towards one.
- A link that goes to a neutral page you control, not straight to a listing or an explicit site. Meta’s rules on links to adult sites need reading in full, so check the current policy before you add one.
Reports and automated review can remove content without warning, so keep a copy of everything you post.
What do TikTok, Reddit and OnlyFans say?
We could not open the current policy text for these three, so we give general observations only and send you to the source.
TikTok. Its Community Guidelines have a section on sexually suggestive content, sexual activity and related services. We could not verify the current wording, so read it before you post and assume the platform is strict. Many people keep TikTok non-explicit or skip it.
Reddit. Rules work at two levels: the site’s content policy and each community’s own rules. Some communities are labelled adult, and others ban any promotion. Reddit announced a rule against arranging certain paid transactions, including sexual services, in 2018, and we could not confirm its current wording, so check the current policy. Read each community’s rules before posting, and do not use the same wording in several communities at once, because it reads as spam.
OnlyFans. On its own platform adult content is the product. Its Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy apply to what you sell and how you promote, and we could not verify them from the official pages, so read them. Promotion on other platforms is governed by those platforms’ rules, not by OnlyFans. If your main goal is OnlyFans subscribers, see our guide on running OnlyFans alongside bookings.
What does Telegram allow?
Telegram’s Terms of Service are short. You may not send spam or scam users, promote violence on publicly viewable channels or bots, post illegal pornographic content on publicly viewable channels or bots, or engage in activities that are illegal in most countries. Private chats are not covered by the public-content clause, but the other rules apply.
This makes Telegram a practical direct line for people who already know you: updates, availability, and a way to enquire. Keep a public channel clean, because public channels can be reported. Separate your public handle from your private account, and be careful about who can see your phone number, which Telegram settings let you control.
How do link rules differ, and what gets accounts removed?
Link rules cause more problems than images, because the same link can be fine on one platform and a breach on another. Treat the link as part of your content and read each platform’s rules on it.
A safe routine:
- Link first to a neutral page you control, then from there to anything else.
- Never place a link to a listing or an explicit site in a public bio unless the platform’s policy clearly allows it.
- Do not post the same link repeatedly or in many communities. Spam rules apply on every platform.
- Do not use shortened or disguised links, because they look like phishing.
- Check what the platform says about linking to adult sites, and when you cannot find it, use the cautious option.
The causes of removal repeat across platforms:
- Offering or seeking sexual services in wording that the rules do not allow.
- Unlabelled adult media, or adult media in a visible area such as a profile photo.
- Repeated identical posts, mass following and bought followers.
- Reports from other users, whether fair or not.
- Opening a new account after a ban.
Keep a master copy of your content, photos and contact route outside every platform. Then a removal is an inconvenience and not a loss.
